Community Water Day + Potluck
Join us at the Cresset Center for a day of water play and appreciation on October 5th (3pm – 7pm). We will begin with Goethean water phenomenology which is experiential and appropriate for all ages to engage with the wonder of water. Next, we will walk down to the river where Karall will host a River Sing. We will finish the day with a community potluck.

The Goethean Water Phenomenology is part of the “Love the Water” curriculum we are developing at the Cresset Center. The experiences we will be engaging in were learned from the work of Jennifer Greene of the Water Research Institute of Blue Hill Maine.

Here is some additional information about Karall’s River Sing initiative copied from her website: The Vision for this Event/ Ceremony came to me while driving people to the northern part of the Colorado River for all day rafting trips in 2020… From the drivers seat in the van that I was driving, I saw the onset of the Cameron Peak Fire, the largest Wildfire in Colorado History… My thoughts about my Gratitude for Water merged with my Love for Singing and I decided to Every year, get on a raft and sing Love songs to the River…..And to invite Others to whom it makes sense, to join me… Gratitude/Love opens Our Hearts, Unites Us in Our Visions, and helps to Uplift Nature (Think Water crystals and the work of the scientist Emoto)”
Karall invites you to: BRING a SONG to share together about Water, Gratitude- it can be a Sacred Chant, a Song from Your childhood etc., The intention is for the words to be uplifting for US and the Water.
This is NOT ABOUT SOLOS…If You do not know the Song than hum.

For the potluck, please label if your dish has common allergens (dairy, gluten, nuts). We will have a refrigerator and an oven available for storage/reheating your dish if necessary (the kitchen is not a commercial certified kitchen).
You can reach out to info@cressetcenter.org if you have any questions or would like to RSVP.
